Minutes of February 18, 2008 meeting The Cedars Club met on February 18, 2008 for the annual election of officers. Our new Officers and Board Members were installed in their positions as of that date. We would like to give you an update on some of the events planned for this year and we welcome your ideas and feedback. As Officers and Board Members we are here to represent you. It is our goal to make this an organization that is proud to celebrate and promote our heritage & culture and to get our families together for fun and fellowship. Tentative Schedule of Events for 2008/2009 o April: To Be Determined o May: Dinner at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Danny Thomas Pavilion o June: Cedars Club Annual Family Picnic & Cookout o July: SFSLAC Summer Convention o August: To Be Determined o September: Downtown Memphis Art Trolley Tour & Dinner o October: Halloween Party at Shelby Farms o November: To Be Determined o December: Holidays Gala o January: Officers Elections If you can work on planning any of these events, have ideas to make them better or have the willingness to help implement new events, please let me, or any of your Officers or Board Members know. As you can see, we have some fun events already planned for this year. We hope that you will try to get more involved this year and most of all, we hope that if you have creative ideas or talents, that you will share them with us. Dues for this year are $50 per family, $30 for singles and $16 for college students. Please complete and send in the attached membership form with your check as soon as possible. Minutes of April 13 meeting On April 13, 2007, the Cedars Club held their Annual Spring Dinner and Social, and held an election of officers. The meeting was held at the Butcher Shop on East Germantown. Dinner was followed by election of officers, and by recognition of work done in the previous year by various volunteers. We are sending our 2007 Dues & Roster to the Southern Federation and in order to receive the quarterly Federation Bulletin (magazine) your name must be on the Club Roster.
