SCHEDULE OF SESSIONS

Convivium Details

The Mechanical Engineering Convivium is a Division supported dinner where all members and guests are invited to attend. The restaurant is selected usually by the Program Chair. There is no program. We all just meet and eat!

It is quite possible that the restaurant where the Convivium will be held would not be selected at the time that ME Division members are registering for the conference.

As per past tradition, the Convivium is usually held on Monday evening. All ME Division members are invited to join in this social event [guests of members are welcome].

If you want more information about the restaurant, please do a Google search on the restaurant's name (once it is known) and you will find lots of reviews of it.

The cost to the attendee has been around $15 per person.

What's New in Dynamics?

The schedule shown provides days of all or most ME Division sessions planned to take place at the Summer meetings. These are formally scheduled by the Program Chair of the Division.

Notes:
Many of our Technical sessions are referred to as TIME sessions.
TIME stands for Trends in Mechanical Engineering. There are typically as few as three and as many as 9 TIME sessions; at least 4 papers are presented in each. (Back to Top.)

The ME Department Heads Meeting is not an activity that all ME Division members are to attend, but the scheduling of this meeting is done by our Division. (Back to Top.)

The Poster Session contains many papers that are presented as posters usually by the author(s). This forum allows for extensive interaction between interested observer and author. (Back to Top.)

The Mechanical Engineering Convivium is a Division supported dinner where all members and guests are invited to attend. The restaurant is selected usually by the Program Chair. There is no program. We all just meet and eat! (Back to Top.)

The Business Meeting is to be attended by the Officers of the Division to discuss planning and review the year's activities with reports. Everyone is invited to this meeting. (Back to Top.)

The Ralph Coates Roe Award Luncheon and Business Meeting is open to everyone. A very short business program is conducted during lunch, followed by introduction of the Ralph Coates Roe Award recipient. The recipient then gives a talk on some positive aspect of engineering education. (Back to Top.)
